Meet Award Winning Executive Chef Gianfranco Rovito
Gianfranco and his brother Roberto immigrated from Italy with a strong work ethic and a deep respect for traditional recipes, eventually settling in Chicago where they learned and refined the craft of Italian Cuisine. Over time, Roberto established himself in Plainfield, Illinois with Capri Sogno, a well-known restaurant built on classic Italian flavors and consistency, while Gianfranco and his family found success in Hilton Head with Coastal Capri, bringing a lighter coastal Italian approach to the Lowcountry.
Now, the brothers are combining their experience and roots once again, expanding Coastal Capri with a second location in Coligny Square. This new chapter brings together their Italian heritage, Chicago influence, and family tradition, introducing a focused menu of Chicago-style pizzas alongside the flavors that have defined both of their journeys.
